Professional Excellence Award
The Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Alumni Committee has established the Professional Excellence Award to honor one faculty member every 2 years who has made an outstanding contribution to the education of undergraduate and/or graduate students.
To be eligible, a professor must have served at least 4 years in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department. They need not still be at Rice or could be retired. They must be living at the time of their nomination. They can win once every 5 years. Any alumni of the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department may nominate a professor along with any active student who has been at Rice for more than 2 years.
We received several nominations for the first and second bi-annual awards to be presented at the Alumni Networking Event Evenings.
We are now accepting nominations for our third bi-annual award to be announced in Fall 2016.
