The Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (BSChE) program at Rice University is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. This program allows students to choose from one of our five areas of specialization or the breadth option for a more flexible curriculum.
Areas of Specialization
Students pursuing a BS in Chemical Engineering at Rice University have the option of choosing one of five areas of specialization or the engineering breadth option.
Through careful selection of other engineering and science courses, you can specialize in any of the following six options.

Courses that do not appear on the approved list below may be petitioned for approval on a case by case basis. You must consult with your ChBE academic advisor.
