10 ChBE students earn Rice Engineering awards, scholarships

The George R. Brown School of Engineering this year gave more than $95,000 in awards, scholarships and grants to undergraduate and graduate students.

The George R. Brown School of Engineering this year has given more than $95,000 in awards, scholarships and grants to undergraduate and graduate students.

Among the recipients were 10 students from the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (ChBE). The awards and their recipients from ChBE include:

  • Isabelle “Izzy” Williams ’22, Fluor Daniel Engineering Scholarship, $1,700
  • Zainab Niaz ’23, Rodd Selman Scholarship, $1,500
  • Esha Ghai ’23, Rodd Selman Scholarship, $1,500
  • Kristina Montez ’23, Rodd Selman Scholarship, $1,500
  • Cole Moore ’23, Rodd Selman Scholarship, $1,500
  • Ben Walls ’23, Rodd Selman Scholarship, $1,500
  • Minjung Kim ’22, Texas Society of Professional Engineers (Outstanding Junior) Award, $200
  • Jonathan Bloom ’21, Texas Society of Professional Engineers (Outstanding Senior) Award, $200
  • Max Brigman ’21, Louis and Peaches Owen Fellowship for Professional Master’s Degree in Engineering, $12,500
  • Chelsea Clark ’20 Ph.D., Ralph Budd Ph.D. Engineering Thesis Award, $3,500
